A&P Technologist
offers students an exciting new way to study the fundamentals of anatomy and
physiology. Ten interactive lessons complement a two-semester, community college-level course. A&P Technologist is ideal for advanced placement high school students;
or for college level tech prep, pre-med, or biomedical engineering students; or for
traditional, entry-level college students.
A&P Technologist contains over 1,500 images drawn from sources such as the National
Library of Medicine's Visible Human Project, digitized X-rays, MRIs, PET Scans, and
micrographs. Students gather data from gross to cellular levels and employ image
processing technology to map, measure, contrast, or animate the information.
A&P Technologist emphasizes scientific inquiry and uses cutting-edge image
processing technology to enable students to explore basic concepts in anatomy and
physiology while functioning in ways similar to cutting-edge researchers.
