Camp IPX
Camp IPX, a new technology day camp program for students grades 6-9, explores the world of digital images and computer technology. Students learn the fundamentals of image processing through an innovative 5-,10-, or 30-day program that also enhances creative skills and critical thinking abilities. Camp IPX contains an easily implemented, full curriculum and promotional kit to be used with 10 students.

Designed for teachers familiar with the use of image processing in the classroom, Camp IPX offers a ready-to-use set of lessons and activities. Students use real world data and image processing skills to function in ways similar to top-level scientists, mathematicians, and technicians. The product uses NIH Image, software developed by the National Institutes of Health, and contains Discovering Image Processing, a program that teaches the fundamentals of digital image processing and image analysis.

Camp IPX was developed in part with funding from the National Science Foundation by the Center for Image Processing in Education, a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve science, mathematics, and technology education through the development and dissemination of effective, innovative learning tools.
